The Hero is.. Dead?

     Johnny Cade, the hero who passed away just last night. Johnny and his bestfriend, Ponyboy Curtis saved 5 children that were 8 years old and younger from the burning deserted church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Windrixville. The names of the 5 children are: Cathy Pearl, Bob James, Johnray Peter, Christian Stone

Vanessa Johnson. The people believed that the fire was caused by a cigarette.

     Cade and Curtis got all the children out safely but they themselves obtained serious injuries. Ponyboy Curtis escaped before Johnny Cade did and his whole back was burned. Johnny was trapped inside the church and Dallas WInston, Johnny's friend ran into the church to save him. Dallas came out with Johnny, both of them, injured. Dallas's arm was burnt and Johnny had the worst injury. His back broken and his whole body burnt real badly. This sixteen year old, Johnny Cade dies from being a Juvenile Deliquent into a hero.   

     The parents of the saved children were so happy and thrilled. One of the children's parents said, "We are so relieved that those boys were there to save our children, because without them they probably wouldn't be alive." Another parent had said "Those boys are so brave, they are true heroes."

A few weeks after the disaster, Johnny passed away at 9:04pm last night becuase the injury was too serious. Also, just last night after Johnny's death, Dallas Winston had died of a police gunshot. He had robbed the grocery store and then threatened the gun to the police. Ponyboy Curtis said, "Dally died because Johnny was the only person he had ever loved."
