Death of a Hero by David Monias

 

Roughly around twelve to one thirty in the morning in the park at the corner of 12th Street and Spence Avenue, the death of the recently announced  hero  Dallas Winston.  The young man who had help save several children from a church fire in the small town of Windrixville, Oklahoma. Apparently Dallas Winston had robbed a convenience store knowing that the store clerk would call the police, the police had started searching for Dallas Winston after what they had heard.

After Dallas Winston had called his friends announcing that he was heading for the park in their neighbourhood, the police had soon had him in sight and pursued him down the streets to the park. For a while the policed were planning the way they would apprehend Dallas, they moved in shortly after cornering him. As they approached Dallas Winston he pulled a gun threatening to shoot, once hearing that the police had immediately pulled their weapons and began shooting at him several times.

Dallas Winston's friends where devastated at what they had seen in the distance, later Dallas Winston's friend Pony Boy Curtis had revealed that the reason why Dallas had robbed the store. Earlier that day another friend of Dallas was Johnny who had just past away, with that overwhelming sorrow Dallas had ran off and robbed the store.
